How to Spot and Support a Learning Difficulty Early

## Why Early Identification Matters Learning difficulties don't go away on their own. A child struggling to read in first grade, without support, is likely to still struggle in fifth grade — and by then, they've also developed low self-esteem, school avoidance, and behavioral problems layered on top of the original difficulty. Early identification means earlier support, which means better outcomes. The brain is most responsive to intervention in the early years.
